Construction Update: Sportpark Rheinhöhe in Wiesbaden
From design to reality: at Sportpark Rheinhöhe in Wiesbaden, the roof structure is now almost complete. Viewed from below, the distinctive diamond-shaped pattern creates a finely articulated structural framework, lending the nearly 40-metre-spanning structure a remarkable sense of lightness and playful elegance. Only one final section of the roof remains to be completed.

Structural Engineering Conference 'Baustatik – Baupraxis' in Dresden
Following an invitation to speak at the Structural Engineering Conference 'Baustatik – Baupraxis' at the Technical University of Dresden, Dr. Matthias Zeiml gave a presentation within the mini-symposium 'Innovative Engineering Structural Analysis'. He talked about the modelling and structural analysis of the Elbtower in Hamburg. The presentation was based on the publication 'The Elbtower – Design, Structural Analysis and Construction of Hamburg’s New Beacon', co-authored with Constanze Kugler. The conference provided an excellent opportunity for an engaging and informative exchange with fellow structural engineers from both academia and engineering practice.
