Construction Update: Sportpark Rheinhöhe in Wiesbaden
Construction of the roof structure at Sportpark Rheinhöhe in Wiesbaden has commenced. The timber truss girders, measuring over two metres in height, span up to nearly 40 metres and support the roof of the sports complex, which will house a swimming pool and an ice rink. The project was created by asp Architekten.

Start of Construction: Trade Fair, Congress and Cultural Forum in Saarbrücken
Construction has begun in Saarbrücken on the new Trade Fair, Congress and Cultural Forum. The project will create a modern extension to the listed Congress Hall, providing additional space for trade fairs, conferences, exhibitions and cultural events. The design was created by kadawittfeldarchitektur.

Presentation at the CTBUH Conference in Toronto
At the international conference, Matthias Zeiml presented insights into the Elbtower high-rise project and the challenges encountered during design and construction. The event also offered numerous opportunities for exchange with fellow experts and for in-depth professional dialogue.

Structural Engineers’ Day: Presentation of TRIDEA
At this year’s Structural Engineers’ Day, Kai Zweigart and Kilian Madeja presented our project TRIDEA – a high-rise complex in timber-hybrid construction designed by David Chipperfield Architects and currently under development in Munich-Bogenhausen. Many thanks to InformationsZentrum Beton GmbH and the Chamber of Engineers Baden-Württemberg for this opportunity.

Competition success: Mobility Hub in Bremerhaven
Together with haascookzemmrich STUDIO2050 and Henning Larsen, we are delighted to have won the first prize in the competition for the new Mobility Hub in Bremerhaven. During the competition, we advised the architects on all aspects of structural engineering, with a particular focus on the flexible timber construction, which was positively highlighted by the jury for its sustainability and structural plausibility.

Groundbreaking Ceremony: BAM Research Building at Groß-Berliner Damm
Today the foundation stone was laid for the laboratory and research building of the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) at Groß-Berliner Damm 149. Excavation work started in February 2025, and in early September the structural work for the underground floor slab began. The project is being planned and executed using the IPA method.

Groundbreaking Ceremony: Altenessen-Süd Comprehensive School
Last Tuesday, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Altenessen-Süd Comprehensive School took place. Together with the general planner v-architekten, we are realizing a school building in hybrid timber construction for around 1,400 students and 110 teachers.
