Roche Bau 2 - shell completed
Tuesday this week the shell of building Roche Bau 2 got its last concrete. The shell was finished even two months earlier than planned! The Roche Bau 2 with its height of 205 m is now the tallest building in Switzerland. Many thanks to Herzog & de Meuron for the good collaboration.

1st Prize: Competition 'Komische Oper, Berlin'
After a two-day meeting of the jury on October 24th and 25th, the competition 'Reconstruction and expansion of the Komische Oper Berlin' got its results. The design by kadawittfeldarchitektur from Aachen convinced the jury. As part of the competition team, we are very happy about this success and warmly congratulate the architects!

Opening: Sports Center Überlingen
Kick-off after two years of construction. The new municipal Sports Center in Überlingen was inaugurated, which we planned together with wulf architeken. The building with its folded roof was designed as a wooden structure. The ceiling above the sports hall is completely column-free with 2 m high and up to 34 m wide T-beams.

New office building 'Stadtwerke Leinfelden-Echterdingen'
In spring this year the employees of Leinfelden-Echterdingens 'Stadtwerke' have moved into their new office building. In terms of construction, a later change of use was taken into consideration. Together with LIMA architects we have planned and realized this building. The building has received the 'Hugo-Häring-Award' 2020 - congrats to the architects!

Professorship for structural engineering at the University of Technology
Martin Stumpf was appointed to the HFT Stuttgart for the winter semester 2020. As a professor of structural engineering he teaches future architects. The wh-p team is very happy about this academic appointment and congratulates him warmly.

New town hall for Remchingen
Beginning of February the new town hall of Remchingen has been completed, which we have planned and realized together with Steimle architects. The outer walls consist of monolithicly-colored light-weight insulation concrete.

wh-p Berlin cookie-challenge
At wh-p Berlin a Cookie-Challenge has been announced. The preparation took place at home with the help of “any persons living in one household”. Everyone had a lot of fun decorating their cookies and the results tasted really yummy!

Bridge installation for the new Continental Headquarter
Last weekend the bridge with a width of 71 meter was installed, which connects the two buildings of the new Continental Headquarter in Hannover. Therefor the Hans-Böckler-Allee had to be completely blocked. Together with HENN architects from Berlin we managed this ambitious challenge.

Beginning of April the new office building ‘Areal Eichstrasse’ has been inaugurated which is located in Stuttgart. Together with h4a|va architects we have planned and realized this building.

Last fall the new professional school for the federal armed forces was inauguratd. Together with v-architekten we realized this project with its special floor plan.

Ground-breaking ceremony for the new fire station in Germersheim
Last month the ground-breaking ceremony for the new fire station in Germersheim was celebrated. The building facade will be built out of red colored exposed concrete elements. Above the terrace a 21 m wide U-shaped reinforced concrete beam is placed, which merges into the foyer cantilever.

Skiing & Snowboarding in Titlis
Last weekend wh-p Ingenieure went skiing and snowboarding in Titlis. The weather was wonderful and everybody returned safely.
