About us
A question of balance
We believe that the basis for successful planning work is a perfect balance between creative energy, discipline, and diligence.
We attribute our success in ambitious construction projects to material spanning knowledge and conceptual thinking. Our active participation with the themes and ideas of our planning partners plays a pivotal role in the development of a structural solution, which is integrated into the overall work.
Our commitment, creativity and enjoyment of our work have consistently produced many innovative ideas that are being used repeatedly in our construction projects. Our work, however, is ultimately measured by the quality of planning services rendered. Viable and proper planning documents, as well as the awareness of costs and deadlines, are viewed as a foundation for our successful planning.
The end result is a structure where our client’s objectives are realized in the most qualitative and cost effective manner.

History
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dietger Weischede
The foundation of the company by Dietger Weischede and Petra Faußer in 1993 coincided with the beginning of the recession in the construction industry. Despite these difficult start-up conditions, the company „Weischede und Partner“ became quickly established with clients and architects as a competent planning partner. As Dietger Weischede was appointed as professor at the Technical University of Darmstadt in 1996, Andreas Herrmann joined the company as third Managing Director. Following successful years with constant growth, the management of the company was restructured in 2010: Dietger Weischede moved from the Management Board to the Supervisory Board and was available to the office in an advisory capacity and for further training until 2019. At the same time, the leadership team was extended with the two long-serving employees Karsten Held and Martin Stumpf being appointed to the Board of Management. In 2012, Karsten Held was recognized as a licenced checking engineer for structural analysis (concrete structures). Since then, he has continued the checking activities started by Professor Weischede in the company. Since 2013, Martin Stumpf has been Managing Director of wh-p Ingenieure AG in Basel and since 2014 he has been a lecturer for structural mechanics at FH-Nordwestschweiz (North Swiss Institute of Technology). In 2017, Andreas Herrmann resigned form the Board of Management and concluded his activities with the company. Also in 2017, our manual on structural engineering was published. Our book deals with the development of building structures using strut-and-tie models and illustrates our work methods. wh-p Ingenieure has developed into an international successful consulting engineers office with over 50 employees. Together with their subsidiaries in Basel (founded in 2013) and Berlin (founded in 2018) they can look back on more than 300 successful projects.

Profile
wh-p Ingenieure stand for structural engineering in an architecturally sophisticated environment. Three patents and numerous new developments prove our innovative style of working and material spanning structural developments. Due to the varied interests and competencies of our employees, we are in a position to cover the entire spectrum of structural engineering.
We deal with all types of structure work, from new buildings to pedestrian bridges and even sky-scrapers. We have experience with all conventional building materials, e.g. reinforced concrete, steel, timber, glass, ETFE, prestressed concrete, and various composites. Furthermore, we have been actively advancing BIM projects for several years and we are deeply committed to interdisciplinary collaboration with other planning partners using the BIM method.
In 2012, Karsten Held was appointed licenced checking engineer for structural analysis of concrete structures. His professional competence and the know-how gained through exchanges with other checking engineers benefits the entire office and thus all of our projects also.
With our own energy consultant, as well as our commitment to sustainable building, we can ensure the energy efficiency quality of our projects and implement the decisive aspects of sustainability in the planning process. We also have employees in the fields of reconstruction and listed buildings who, due to their experience and additional qualifications, can plan and conduct difficult building measures for existing buildings. Our many years of multifaceted experience with various types of facade enables us to offer competent advice in this sector as well.
wh-p Ingenieure is an owner-managed company with the following partners: Martin Stumpf, Karsten Held, Bernhard Rummel, Lars Keim, Matthias Zeiml, Kai Zweigart
Our quality management is certified according to DIN ISO 9001:2015.
